Until now, developers could place advertisements in two areas of the App Store: in the Search tab and within the search results page. One of the new areas in which commercials purchased by developers will appear is the Today tab, which is the first page that appears when you open the App Store app from 2017, or since the digital store was redesigned. In this way it will be possible to promote the apps between one editorial content and another: obviously they will be marked as ads – explains the Cupertino multinational – and will be clearly distinguishable from the stories published by the Apple team.

The other area that from now on will be available for the placement of advertisements will be directly within the tabs of the apps themselves: they will appear in the You might also like section at the bottom of the page and, even in this case, they will be recognizable thanks to the specific labeling.

Apple Search Ads offer developers, large and small, the opportunity to grow their business. Like our other advertising offerings, these new ad placements are built on the same foundation: they will only contain content from approved App Store app pages and will adhere to the same rigorous privacy standards.
