Apple has problems with demand for Mac

Apple has problems with demand for Macs. Based on information from the factories, the Korean portal The Elec claims that Apple was forced to suspend production of M2 chips in early 2023. According to the source, shipments were not made until the end of February and were resumed in March. At the same time, the volume of production was halved compared to the same period of the previous year.

WWDC23, everything Apple could present

Despite good sales, the iPad Pro on the M2 apparently couldn’t make up for the falling demand for Macs. Commenting on the results of the first fiscal quarter of 2023, Tim Cook noted that the company is facing a difficult situation in the PC market and expects little difficulty in this segment in the short term.

The base M2 chip was introduced in June 2022 and is installed in the 13″ MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac mini, and iPad Pro. The only model to which the filling update has not reached is now the iMac. However, in the context of the news and according to the same Mark Gurman, announcements related to the monoblock should not be expected in the near future.
