Apple is going to sell as many iPhone 14s as it sold the iPhone 13 a year earlier

Apple is going to sell as many iPhone 14s as it sold the iPhone 13 a year earlier. But manufacturers of Android-smartphones are not so optimistic in their forecasts. But both sides are right.

Goodbye to iPod Touch, Apple will no longer market it

Apple ordered the same number of iPhone 14 line iPhones from suppliers as it ordered all four iPhone 13 models a year ago, Bloomberg reports.

The first batch a year ago consisted of 90 million pieces of iPhones of the iPhone 13 line, which included four models. This year, Apple does not plan to reduce the number of devices produced. This means that Apple does not change its plans to sell about 220 million iPhones by the end of the year.

However, other market players are not so optimistic about the future. At the very least, Apple suppliers note that other customers are starting to freeze previously announced orders. The figures also confirm this: according to IDC forecasts, the smartphone market in 2022 will decrease by 3.5% compared to 2021.

The point is in different audiences: iPhone buyers have always been more solvent. And these people, in the framework of high inflation and geopolitical tensions, have not suffered so much. They have money that they will spend on the new iPhone 14 this fall.

According to insiders, the line will consist of four models: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The mini version will no longer be available. Smartphones will be available with screens of two versions: 6.1 and 6.7 inches.
