The next generation Apple TV will have a new chip and is expected to release in the first half of 2024. The device‌ will have the same design as the current ‌Apple TV‌ 4K, with Apple not changing its appearance. Little else is known about the update at this time, but Bloomberg says that despite a faster processor, there will be no support for 8K video streaming.

Along with a minor ‌Apple TV‌ update, Apple has other smart home products in the pipeline. There is a device that combines an ‌Apple TV‌, a smart speaker and a FaceTime camera in one, but the launch timing of this product is unclear as it has suffered some various setbacks to its design.

Apple is also developing a smart display that would serve as a sort of home hub for controlling HomeKit devices, making ‌FaceTime‌ calls, and more. This product may be launched.
