Apple TV, now independent also iPhone and iPad

Apple TV, now independent also iPhone and iPad. Apple has long begun to evaluate the prospect of dissolving Apple TV +, the contents of its streaming platform, from its dependence on the hardware of its production. One of these steps was the appearance of the application on different devices such as Fire TV or set top boxes such as those of Sky. But to have access to TV series and films it was still necessary to have an iPhone or an iPad to approve the conditions of use, now this seems to be no longer mandatory.

iPhone 14s are more powerful than iPhone 13 Pros

We know this from Apple itself who shared a support document to explain that it is possible to accept the Apple TV Terms and Conditions of Service without necessarily having an iPhone or iPad.

Apple in the document explains to users who do not have an iPhone with iOS 16 or later or iPad with iPadOS 16 or later that they can accept the terms from the iCloud.com site, an indication necessary to be able to use the new devices. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID
  2. If necessary, follow the directions by reviewing and updating your account settings
  3. Read and accept the iCloud Terms and Conditions

These are obviously simple steps but evidently Apple has felt the need to address the problem probably as a result of a message from a Google employee.

In the Tweet a huge number of times, Chris Koch, had reported that he was unable to accept the terms and conditions of iCloud with his Apple TV he does not have an iPhone, an iPad or other Apple devices. Koch had reported that he had tried to register on iCloud.com but that from the web he had not been able to obtain confirmation of acceptance of the terms and conditions.

In a different tweet, Koch reported that he tried to log out of the Apple ID account from Settings > Users and [name] Accounts > iCloud and that by logging in again, the request for acceptance of the Terms and Conditions appears directly on the Apple TV, no need to use other devices.

The ability to approve terms and conditions without an iPhone or iPad opens up the prospect of greater dissemination of Apple TV+ content. All you need is an iCloud account and any device with the Apple TV application to watch the Apple “channel”
