Features of all iPhone 14 models revealed. By the beginning of summer 2022, many details about the new iPhone 14 became known, the presentation of which will take place this fall, tentatively on September 13th.

From autumn 2022, Apple will sell 4 new iPhone models: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Let’s analyze the features of each model.
iPhone 14
- Display with a diagonal of 6.1 inches, made using OLED technology.
- CPU Apple A15 Bionic. This is the processor that powers the iPhone 13 and is manufactured by TSMC in a 5nm process. There is no progress. Apple has never allowed itself to insert outdated last year’s processors into new autumn iPhones. This was valid only in SE models.
- RAM: 6 GB with LPDDR4X technology. Previous iPhone 13 models had 4 GB of RAM. There is progress.
- Front camera 12 megapixels with built-in autofocus function. Progress!
- Two cameras on the back of 12 megapixels each: wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle. There is no progress.
- Storage options: 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. There is no progress. For the iPhone, with its new iOS firmware of 5 to 6 GB each, the base 128 GB of memory seems like some kind of mockery.
- Aluminium case.
In fact, inside the iPhone 14 is iron from the iPhone 13 with increased RAM from 4 GB to 6 GB. The processor is the same as in the iPhone 13. The rear camera block is the same. Pleased with autofocus on the front camera, but this is more of a software achievement, not an updated hardware. The design is old. New body colors available.
iPhone 14 Max
- This model completely repeats the iPhone 14 except for the larger screen. The diagonal of the iPhone 14 Max is 6.7 inches.
iPhone 14 Pro
- OLED display with a diagonal of 6.1 inches.
- Main processor A16. New. Manufactured at TSMC in a 4nm process. Progress!
- RAM: 6 GB with LPDDR5X technology. The younger models of the iPhone 14 and 14 Max have the same amount of RAM, but it is slower using LPDDR4X technology. Progress!
- Rear camera unit: 48 MP + 12 MP + 12 MP. This is the main innovation in the new iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. The 48-megapixel main camera will significantly improve the quality of photos and videos compared to the models of the previous year and take the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro to the top positions in the rankings of the best camera phones in 2022. Shooting in 8K for such a camera is not a problem. Huge progress!
- Storage options: 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB.
- Body made of steel.
iPhone 14 Pro Max
It differs from the iPhone 14 Pro only in a screen diagonal increased to 6.7 inches.
So, the main features of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are: a 48 MP main camera, as well as a new A16 processor and faster 6 GB LPDDR5X RAM, a steel case.
The main features of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are: last year’s A15 processor borrowed from the iPhone 13, the old 12 MP + 12 MP camera unit from the iPhone 13, increased RAM to 6 GB using a slower technology compared to the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, aluminum case.
Without exception, all iPhone 14 models will delight you with a high-quality OLED touch screen, but they are unlikely to boast a large battery capacity. Don’t expect a charger either. In our time, it will be more accurate to talk not just about ordinary charging, but about “fast charging”. All iPhone 14 series will be running the new iOS 16 operating system.
Would Steve Jobs, who founded and successfully led Apple for many years, be happy with such “innovations”? We have big doubts about this.
All iPhone 14s will be officially announced in the first half of September 2022 and will officially go on sale in late September or early October 2022. In Russia, new iPhones will be sold through “parallel imports”. So far, nothing indicates that during the summer months of 2022 Apple will change its position and resume the official factory of its products in Russia.
