The Apple Watch Digital Crown 2.0 will move like a joystick

In the latest edition of his “Power On” newsletter, Gurman confirmed other rumors that appeared on the net about Apple’s plans to increase the size of its two “Pro” iPhone models, currently 6.1- and 6.7-inch diagonal. The new screen size would be the largest ever on an iPhone.

Gurman stressed that this change will make Apple’s high-end smartphones more competitive against competitors, such as devices offered by Samsung. The increase in size could also create more internal space for hardware improvements, such as camera technology and larger batteries.

In May, display analyst Ross Young said the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will have screen sizes of 6.3 and 6.9 inches, respectively, or about a 0.2 inch increase. . Later, Twitter leaker “Unknownz21” confirmed this rumor and provided alleged internal model numbers for the devices.

The increased size of the iPhone 16 Pro and ‌iPhone 16‌ Pro Max could allow for upgrades including a periscope telephoto lens and a 12% larger primary camera sensor. This would mean that the iPhone 16 Pro will also have the periscope telephoto lens which, at least this year, should be exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max model.

It’s currently unclear whether the two standard iPhone 16 models will see an increase in screen size, although we can speculate that the change will be exclusive to higher-end models.
