iPad 2022 expected more squared off, more beautiful and with USB-C. Apple is expected to unveil the affordable iPad 2022, the 10.2-inch 10.2-inch entry-level model by the end of this year: new technical schematics and renderings just leaked offer a glimpse of what to expect.

iPhone 14, 14 Max, 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max Price Predictions

10th-generation iPad 2022 could feature a design closer to that of the latest iPad mini, with flat edges, a protruding rear chamber, a set of four speakers, and more, according to CAD schematics of the alleged device obtained by MySmartPrice, from a enclosure manufacturer.

The report would also confirm previous rumors about 10th-generation iPads, including a larger display, USB-C port, A14 Bionic chip, 5G support, and more.

Based on the renders, the 10th generation iPad 2022 chassis would have rounded corners, but the display would have squared corners instead. This less premium design would be suitable for the entry-level iPad model, which currently starts at $ 329, in Italy starting at. Given the redesign, however, it is possible that the 10th generation iPad will see a slight price increase.

The renders suggest that this new device will have a Home Touch ID button, while all other iPad models have switched to Face ID or a power button with integrated Touch ID. As expected, a single lens for both the front and rear cameras is provided for the model in question.

Leakers say the rear camera’s pill-shaped housing will include an LED flash, but the small hole shown in the renders may instead be a microphone. The dimensions for the 10th generation iPad will be 248.62mm (height) x 179.50mm (width) x 6.98mm (depth), according to the report. This would make this tablet model slightly wider and thinner than the current 9th generation iPad.

Apple is expected to announce the 10th generation iPad 2022 along with the new iPad Pro models with the M2 chip by the end of the year. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently reported that Apple plans to release iPadOS 16 to the public in October, so the 10th generation iPad and iPad Pro models may also be unveiled in October.

Recall that Apple released the current 9th generation price-list iPad in September 2021, with key features including a 10.2-inch display, A13 Bionic chip, an updated 12-megapixel front camera with support for the Center Stage function, True Tone screen, double the base storage and more.
