iPad Pro 11 ”M2 will not have the mini LED screen

iPad Pro 11 ”M2 will not have the mini LED screen. Ever since Apple introduced Liquid Retina Display XDR, the marketing name of mini LED display technology, exclusively in the 12.9-inch iPad Pro M1 in 2021, some predicted it would also arrive in the next 11-inch iPad Pro model: now Ross Young , one of the world’s leading display market experts confirms that this will not happen, at least not for this generation.

In fact, in recent months Young had already spoken on the subject, indicating that the superior mini LED technology, capable of displaying an extremely wide dynamic range, hence the XDR abbreviation of Extreme Dynamic Range, would not have landed on the next 11-inch model. Recall that compared to traditional LED panels, the mini LED ones offer much higher brightness and contrast, more intense and realistic colors and even darker blacks.

So according to Young for the iPad Pro M2 generation 2022 arriving by October we can expect the same screens supplied as the current models. So the top mini LED screen, or Liquid Retina XDR as Apple calls it, in the 12.9 ”iPad Pro M2, while the smaller 11-inch model will retain the same current LED screen.

Other sources believe that the design will also remain identical to the current one, so the main novelty will be the processor. Perhaps there could be news on the front of wireless charging, both direct for the tablet itself and reverse to recharge other devices, but these are unconfirmed advances.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman is much more reliable, according to whom Apple will present the new iPad 2022 within a few days. By the end of October, Apple will release iPadOS 16 and perhaps even macOS Ventura: however, another keynote presentation is not expected because Apple will introduce new iPads and later also new Macs through press releases.
