iPhone 15 Pro, RAM memory technology will not change

iPhone 15 Pro, RAM memory technology will not change. For 2023 even more differences and exclusive functions are expected in the iPhone 15 Pro models compared to the standard ones, nevertheless it seems that Apple will not change the technology used for the RAM memory of the terminals which will remain the LPDDR5 one, i.e. the same already used in the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max from 2022.

Apple will increase the cost of battery replacements for out-of-warranty iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks

The anticipation comes from the leaker who signs himself ShrimpApplePro, a source considered quite reliable because in the past he has provided correct information on future plans and details of Apple devices not yet announced. It is widely expected that the Apple A17 Bionic chip of the iPhone 15 Pro will be made with 3-nanometer production technology: the leaker now specifies that it is the TSMC process indicated with the abbreviation N3B.

Again according to the leaker reported by MacRumors, with the next generation iPhone 16 of 2024, however, the Apple A18 Bionic processor will be made with an improved 3-nanometer process, while the RAM memory technology will be LPDDR5X, an evolution and improvement of LPDDR5 which ensures more efficiency in terms of energy consumption.

It is expected that the transition to TSMC’s 3-nanometer technology for the A17 Bionic will bring significant benefits in terms of performance and reductions in consumption for the iPhone 15 Pro, this even if the RAM memory technology will still remain the LPDDR one of the iPhone 14 Pro.

According to the analyst firm TrendForce, Apple will increase the amount of RAM memory on board the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max to 8 GB, compared to the 6 GB installed in the iPhone 14 Pro. Increasing the RAM memory improves multitasking performance and significantly reduces the opening times of apps running in the background.
