Smartwatch market, Apple Watch is always the best-selling. Global shipments of the smartwatch market in the second quarter grew 11% year-over-year, following a decline recorded in the last quarter of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023.

This was reported by Counterpoint Research explaining that the Apple Watch is the device that continues to dominate the sector, even if the global market share has decreased.

Apple reported a 10% decline in second-quarter 2023 shipments, shipments that are reported to be below 8 million units for the first time in three years, and as a result market share jumped from 27% in Q2 2023 to 2022 at the current 22%.

Territorially, the market share in India stands at 34%, up by 12% compared to the same period last year; on the Chinese market there is a decline compared to the Indian market but shipments here grew by 5% compared to the second quarter of 2022.

For Samsung, in Q2 2023 there is a decline of 19% compared to the same period last year. Huawei recovers ground in the domestic market, with a market share of 39%. Indian brands such as Noise and Fire-Boltt, which are trying to establish themselves on the market with very low-cost devices, are gaining shares in India.

In North America, there was a 9% drop in shipments in Q2 2023 but increased revenue due to the popularity of flagship products.
