The two iPhone 15 Pros could be more expensive than expected. According to reports from Bloomberg, Apple is “considering” a price increase for both Pro models of the upcoming iPhone 15 series.

Citing unnamed sources familiar with the situation, the report argues that despite an expected decline in the overall smartphone market, Apple plans to increase its overall revenue by raising the price of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
It’s not the first time there have been rumors that Apple may raise the price of its future Pro models. A rumor in May stated that, as the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will acquire several features currently exclusive to Pro models, such as Dynamic Island and the 48-megapixel camera, Apple would find it even more necessary to separate Pro and non-Pro devices in terms of pricing.
A price hike was also expected in March by Jeff Pu, a technology analyst at Hong Kong-based investment firm Haitong International Securities.
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max start at $999 and $1,099 in the US market, meaning any price increase would put both high-end iPhone models above $1,000 for the first time.
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 15 series in September, although stocks for the Pro models may be, at least initially, limited. All four devices are rumored to have a USB-C port, Dynamic Island and a slightly more curved chassis, while several other features and changes are planned for the Pro models, some of which could justify the higher price.
Apple is asking suppliers to produce about 85 million units of the iPhone 15 this year, roughly in line with last year.
