Apple has confirmed that WWDC 2023 will take place starting from the very next 5 June and, although it is an event dedicated mostly to developers, there will be no shortage of interesting surprises for users and enthusiasts as well. Not only software at the event: in addition to iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, watchOS 10 there could also be something else. Here’s everything Apple could present at WWDC23.
How to clean iPhone, what to do and what to avoid?
WWDC is historically the occasion for Apple to present all new versions of its operating systems and software for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and, in general, for all its hardware. While it’s primarily a developer-focused event with lots of workshops from Cupertino-based engineers, intensive code development sessions, and more, there’s usually something interesting for the end user as well. Even for 2023 there may be surprises.
WWDC23 visible online
Apple has confirmed that WWDC23 will take place from June 5th to June 9th. It will be a mostly online event, “with the opportunity for developers and students to celebrate in person in a special experience at Apple Park on opening day.” Kind of like what happened last year. The pandemic has left important aftermaths on technological events, often transforming them from meeting places for the crowd, into digital appointments, visible to almost everyone online.

Software Updates
Certainly they will not be missing: Apple’s operating systems. This year they expect the usual iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and smart home updates.
The most awaited update is to iOS 17, although it could probably disappoint the expectations of those who think of the update as a revolution. There probably won’t be any major aesthetic changes. After iOS 16’s rich aesthetic change that introduced custom lock screens, iOS 17 is expected to bring system-wide optimizations as well as several new features. ,
The same should be said for iPadOS 17, which usually incorporates and follows the innovations of the iPhone operating system, only to then adapt and optimize them for the large screen of Apple tablets.
New Macs
Last year the event turned into an opportunity to get in touch with Apple’s MacBook Air M2, one of the company’s best in recent times. Hardware isn’t the staple of WWDC, and Apple doesn’t always introduce new products. However, there are a few new Macs in the pipeline that could make an appearance at the June show, assuming they don’t show up at the spring event instead.
And then, WWDC23 could be the showcase for the presentation, or at least for a preview, of the next 15-inch MacBook Air and the new Mac Pro (2023) which is rumored to have the same design as the current model, but updated with the Apple Silicon chips, thus completing the abandonment of Intel processors on Mac.
Obviously, at the next WWDC we could already be talking about a new processor. This is because Apple designed the M2 processor as a sort of bridge between the M1 processor and the M3 processor. The M2 technologies are in fact the same as the M1, while the M3 would be the first processor with 3-nanometer circuitry, ideal for supporting a new generation of Air series machines.
The M3 processor is one of Apple’s priorities and considering that the “M” series was the desire to create an annual cycle of upgrades for its machines, there are those who hypothesize the debut of the new MacBook Air with M3 processor in June and the contextual launch of Mac Pros with M2 Ultra processors.
Apple viewer
The biggest unknown is that relating to the Apple viewer. For some he will be the real protagonist of WWDC23, while for others he will be the biggest absentee. Whatever the truth, there is no doubt that the most anticipated hardware is the AR / VR viewer that has been talked about for some time. Meanwhile, some have seen hints of its unveiling next June as early as the WWDC23 logo.
The Apple Reality Pro, Apple’s much-talked-about VR headset, will presumably be unveiled at WWDC, though one of Apple’s most trusted analysts, Ming Chi Kuo, believes its production, and therefore also the unveiling, has been postponed to late 2023.
Apple’s first AR – VR headset is said to offer mixed reality experiences, the ability to video conferencing, support 4K video, all in a lightweight design with premium materials, and more.
Rumor has it that this headset will have a strong focus on video conferencing and integration with Apple’s App Store, meaning you’ll be able to run all of Apple’s best iPhone apps and games as 2D windows. Gaming is not thought to be a major focus of the company with this device, though that seems odd considering it seems to be one of the users’ favorite uses.
However, the headset should not be designed for the general public, but for developers, as well as for corporate use. It won’t come cheap, with list prices that could be close to $3000, if not even higher. Recently we recall that photos of the alleged components of the viewer have appeared on the net.

If Apple keeps the usual channels active, to see the opening presentation of WWDC23, which is the one that most interests the public, the live streaming will be active on Apple’s official YouTube channel.
