iPhone 15 expected with WiFi 6E

iPhone 15 expected with WiFi 6E. The iPhone 15 will integrate support for WiFi 6E technology; this was reported by analysts Blayne Curtis and Tom O’Malley in a note sent to investors. It is not clear whether WiFi 6E will be integrated only on the Pro models or on the base models as well.

Terrible: Apple again slows down new MacBooks in the cheapest versions

Apple has already integrated WiFi6E on the latest 11″ and 12.9″ iPad Pros, 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pros, and Mac Minis; iPhone 14s offer Wi-Fi 6 (aka 802.11ax)

To take advantage of the WiFi 6E technology the two analysts are talking about, you obviously need to have adequate routers capable of supporting the 6GHz bands. In addition to adequate hardware, to fully support WiFI 6E, operating systems must integrate specific functions that take account of the new standard, a problem that Apple will most likely address with future versions of macOS, iOS and iPadOS.

Wi-Fi 6E offers wider channels (80 MHz or 160 MHz against a maximum of 40 MHz in the 5 GHz band), and is ideal for supporting an increasing number of devices connected simultaneously, managing applications that require high bandwidth such as video streaming high definition, video games and Virtual Reality.

With more spectrum available, Wi-Fi 6E allows bandwidth to be divided into smaller sub-channels to communicate with clients and access points, enabling support for additional devices on any network. Contiguous spectrum blocks can be provided to accommodate 14 additional 80 MHz channels and 7 additional 160 MHz channels for high bandwidth data transmission.
