macOS Sonoma, second public beta and beta 4 for developers. Two weeks after the release of the first public beta and one week after the fourth developer beta, Apple has released the second public beta of macOS 14 Sonoma.

Year 2023: more speed and more autonomy for Apple Watch 9 and Apple Watch Ultra two

This release should fix a bug that some users have found after installing the previous beta with a black screen and reminded of the importance of not installing the betas on machines that are important for work. Beta versions are pre-release and can lead to unpredictable actions that could lead to bugs or incompatibilities being uncovered.

macOS Sonoma offers more customization options with new widgets, new screen savers, major updates in Safari (web apps and profiles) and video calling, as well as gaming-related improvements that should simplify the porting of games from Windows to Mac and other news regarding safety.

If the previous betas of macOS Sonoma are already installed on your Mac, to update them just open System Settings, from here the “General” section, then “Software Update” and from here download the proposed update.

macOS Sonoma supports MacBook Pro 2018 and later, MacBook Air 2018 and later, iMac Pro 2017, iMac 2019 and later, Mac mini 2018 and later, Mac Studio 2022 and later, Mac Pro 2019 and later.

The final release of macOS Sonoma will be available this fall as a free software update.
